HOSPITALITY DURING 2016 SUMMER CLOSURE

The following is a list of members offering hospitality to Association Clubs which close during August together with any comments submitted by the Clubs.Prior to taking advantage of hospitality, the Secretaries of the Clubs involved are recommended to agree in advance the terms under which hospitality is offered. All Clubs require current membership cards or introductory letters. All accounts should be paid on presentation at the time of Members using the facilities of any of the Clubs and before departure.

Army & Navy Club will be delighted to offer hospitality to Members of the ALC Clubs during their respective closures upon presentation of their membership card and a card of introduction. We will remain open throughout the summer and a normal service will operate during weekdays. However, at weekends, the following outlets will be open. Breakfast in the Pall Mall Room (relaxed dress code): 08.00 -1030 Saturday; 0800-1030 Sunday. Brasserie Style Lunch and Dinner in the Ribbon Bar & Terrace (relaxed dress code) – children menu available until 16.30: 1100 – 2300 Saturday and 1100 – 2300 Sunday (last orders 22.30); Dinner in the Coffee Room (Jacket & Tie) 1745-2100 Saturday only (reservation only). Sunday service on Bank Holidays. All bills should be settled on departure.

The Caledonian Clubwill be delighted to offer hospitality to Members of the ALC Clubs during August upon presentation of their membership card or letter of introduction. The Members’ Bar, Oval Room and Terrace will be open throughout this period serving light snacks and summer lunch menu, Monday to Friday. Bedrooms and banqueting will be open for business as usual. The Club has a relaxed dress code during this period; jacket and tie are not required however as usual no jeans or trainers. Contact Reservations on 020 7235 5162 or book using the dining room link.

Cavalry and Guards Clubwould be pleased to welcome members from other ALC Clubs during August (we accept Ladies and children over 12 (under 12 by arrangement) but only with those clubs that have made a prior arrangement.

City University Clubwill be closed from 1stto 12th August but is openthroughout the rest of the summer and is delighted to welcome members of other Clubs to lunch. The club is open from 12.00 noon to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday.

East India Clubis delighted to welcome members of other London Clubs when their Clubhouses are closed over the summer holiday period. Please make reservations in advance for accommodation and dining on 020 7930 1000. Also produce a valid membership card and sign in on arrival.No children under 8 years.

Goodenough Clubis open through the summer and would be delighted to welcome members of other clubs to use the accommodation please quote ALC for 15% discount. When resident in the Club, guests may access the large private garden which is Wi-Fi enabled and have use of the tennis court. Lansdowne Clubis very happy to welcome ALC Club members to its new art deco dining room and bedroom facilities during the month of August, Monday – Sunday subject to availability. Dress code is jacket and long sleeve shirt although a tie is not required.

National Liberal Club is open throughout the summer, apart from weekends and Bank Holidays, and is pleased to offer hospitality. Mondays to Fridays, to ALC members. Weather permitting, luncheon and dinner may be taken on the terrace which overlooks the Thames. No children admitted under 14 (during August not under 8). Not residential.

Naval Clubwill remain open throughout August 2016 offering accommodation facilities withcontinental or full English breakfast availablethroughout this period. The Dining Room will be open for lunch and dinner.Other ALC members are more than welcome to make use of these facilities. A valid membership card should be presented on arrival. The In & Out (Naval & Military Club)is open throughout August and we will be delighted to offer our facilities to other ALC members.A valid membership card should be presented on arrival. The Oriental Club situated in a quiet cul-de-sac close to Bond Street, is open throughout the Summer and will be very pleased to welcome Members of other ALC Clubs and to extendthe Club's hospitality. The Club is proud to have a Michelin-Rated Executive Chef - Wesley Smalley, as well as dedicated Curry Chefs. The Dining Room offers a wide range of menu options from the traditional Roast of the Day and Club Classics to more contemporary, seasonal dishes and of course the famous and ever-popular Oriental Club curries. The Calcutta Light Horse Bar links to the Terrace and provides an alternative to the Members' Bar. The CLH Bar serves food throughout the day, ranging from Indian Street Food to Oysters, Burgers and Salads. All Club rooms and the Courtyard are open to ladies, gentlemen and children over eleven years old. Accommodation may also be reserved, subject to availability and a range of private dining rooms are available. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, are served from Monday to Friday in the Dining Room. The Calcutta Light Horse Bar is also open on Saturdays, serving hot and cold food and a sandwich menu is served on Sundays. Royal Society of Medicine welcomes members from other Clubs throughout August. Use of accommodation and dining facilities including bar, cafe and restaurant to all ALC members. The Walbrook Clubsituated in the heart of the City of London, will remain open throughout the summer, Monday to Friday for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and is delighted to welcome ALC Club members during the month of August.
