How to organize this Disciples Men’s Program
By Gary Ochs, National Coordinator and GCDM Past President 2008-2011
The AROUND TU – IT awards program has been developed to encourage, motivate, create excitement and involve more men through their local churches. It is a program that encourages men to get “around tu – it” for Jesus Christ, a program that will recognize and reward each man’s efforts. There are two parts to the program.
Part Oneof theAROUND TU – IT awards program involves three levels. Completion of Level I is a Bronze coin, completion of Level II is a Silver coin, and completion of Level III is the Gold coin. The Disciples Men coins are very special to the program andserve as recognition and reward after each level is completed. Levels I, II and III must be completed in the order presented. All states must have a program coordinator. Return theattached registration form to your state coordinator each time you complete a new level in the program.
Level IBronze coin: To receive the first coin in the awards program, a total of 30 points is required from the Level I items.
Level IISilver coin: To receive the silver coin, a man must first have received the bronze coin and then accumulate 50 points from the Level II items.
Level IIIGold coin: To receive the gold coin, a man must have received both the bronze and silver coins and then accumulate 20 points from the Level III items.
Points are accumulated by participating in church or service oriented activities. Make copies of The AROUND TU – IT awards program Part One for the men attending your state retreats or churches and…………get started! Also, we would suggest two things: appoint a state coordinator and establish a budget for each year’s purchase of coins.
