Information on the Freedom Programme

The Freedom Programme is a 12 week rolling programme. This means you can join at any point and the benefits are the same as long as all 12 individual sessions are completed.

The aims of this course are

  • To help learners understand the beliefs held by abusive men.
  • To recognize which of these beliefs are shared by society
  • To explore the effects of domestic abuse on children.
  • To have a better understanding of good relationships.
  • To help learners feel better about themselves
  • Tobuild confidence and improve the quality of their lives.
  • To introduce learners to local resources within the community.

  • To enable learners to know what resources are available to women who are being abused
  • To enable learners to recognise early warning signs of abuse before it is too late
  • To enable learners to recognise how they may have changed as a result of attending the programme
  • To enable women to recognise a wide range of non-abusive behaviours
