THE 57th SIA GUEST INAUGRATED AT RIMINI FIERA
At the International Hospitality Exhibition, the mayor of Rimini, Alberto Ravaioli
and the general manager of Federalberghi-Confturismo, Alessandro Cianella:“The sector has ample growth margins”
Rimini, 24th November 2007 - The 57th SIA GUEST International Hospitality Exhibition, sponsored by Federalberghi, was inaugurated this morning at Rimini Fiera. “Venues, Atmospheres, Trends, Systems and Projects” are the ingredients that highlight the expo, which until Tuesday 27th will be a real catalyst for companies wanting to boost their current markets and investigate new foreign ones, where high quality Italian-made food service and catering equipment and Italian Style in furnishings, decor and accessories for the hotel trade have an excellent reputation.
The mayor of Rimini, Alberto Ravaioli took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony andsaid, “This exhibition sums up the heart of Rimini’s economy and the best of one of Italy’s most representative sectors. The participation of so many exhibitors is definitely an excellent auspice for the success of this four-day event.”
Alessandro Cianella, general manager of Federalberghi-Confturismo, on the other hand, emphasized, “Once again, Rimini Fiera’s SIA GUEST excels with the variety of proposals and innovation. It’s an exhibition able to meet the trade’s real requirements, in a sector that definitely has ample growth margins.”
On his behalf, Rimini Fiera chairman Lorenzo Cagnoni reminded attendees: “SIA GUEST is Rimini Fiera’s longest-lasting trade fair. It has been part of our expansion over the decades, always remaining fresh and strongly felt by trade members. The edition that has just been inaugurated has a very high international profile. Here we can see the entire hospitality world.”
The inauguration was followed by a visit to GUEST VILLAGE, the latest stage in the itinerary of NonSoloAlbergo (NotOnlyHotels), the exhibition organized in collaboration with SUITE magazine and publishers BE-MA, with the support and design coordination of Loredana Villani and architect Giuseppe Biondo.This year’s proposal will wind like a route following the new directions taken by the hotel trade. A sort of ‘diffused exhibition’ involving design, art and entertainment guiding visitors on their discovery of contemporary hotels. Visitors will be shown the way by the works of promising new talents and excellent names in the design world: Alessandro and Francesco Mendini with Emanuela Morra,Marcello Albini and Emanuela Venturini, CaberlonCaroppi HotelDesign, POLI.design, Marcello Ceccaroli, Renzo and Marco Costa, Simone Micheli, THDP – The Hickson Design Partnership, Cristina Corti and Roberto Vanossi, Luca Scacchetti, Elisabetta Motta and Nicoletta Negro.
At SIA GUEST, no less than 600 companies are hosted in 65,000 square metres of expo and 12 halls divided into sections: Equipment, Furnishings, Fittings & Décor, Supplies, Technology & Services, Systems, Wellness and Interdecò.A very large number of new products are on show.
