Vicenza, 12thJune 2017 - Young jewellery designers will be arriving from all over the world thanks to the efforts of Italian Exhibition Group, the trade show company generated by the merger between Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza. The works of these future jewellery industry talents will be hosted inside the Basilica Palladiana in Vicenza at the Museo del Gioiello, the jewellery museum under the directorship of Alba Cappellieri, Professor of Jewellery Design at Milan Polytechnic and Italy's leading scholar within the sector.
The three winners from among the 22 finalists will be announced and awarded at the Museum itself on 22nd September.
The finalists were selected by an illustrious Jury and come from nine different countries: France, Italy, Argentina, Germany, Mexico, South Africa, China, Israel and Norway.
The Contest, now at its sixth edition and promoted by IEG in collaboration with the Milan Polytechnic's School of Design, is an indispensable scouting tool for enhancing and promoting up and coming creative talent on the international jewellery scene. A breath of global air that IEG, with VICENZAORO, promotes and consolidates with the aim of supporting young designers, thus re-launching considerable cross-fertilization between them and the manufacturing world. In fact, the project designs presented were subsequently produced by jewellery companies associated to the Women Jewellery Association Italy and by some VICENZAORO exhibitors, such as Roberto Coin, Falcinelli Italy, FANCS V., De Simone andEurocatenesrl.
The Museo del Gioiello is the result of IEG's commitment to promoting the cultural universe of Italian gold and jewellery, sectors in which the Company is recognized as an international Business Hub with its VICENZAORO international show. The Museo del Gioiello therefore continues in its intent to be a tangible flywheel for promoting the very best "Beauty" and "Well Done" manufacturing and, with its biennial turnaround of items on display, confirms its continuous standing as a first-class place to visit.
