Thanks for supporting Witches Walk and Halloween Cake Sale 2017!
Many thanks to all the families who supported our Witches Walk and Halloween Cake Sale. The turnout was just fantastic and it was great to see the wonderful smiles on everybody’s faces and the colourful costumes on the children. Thank you for dressing your children up, for kindly donating cakes/buns and for coming along to the school to join in the fun and buy something at the cake sale! It was a wonderful day. Many thanks also to members of our great PTA who helped organize the cake sale on the day!
We have many bake trays/tubs/boxes left in our school library for collection.
U11s boys GAA Football team are County Runners-up 2017!
Congratulations to our U11s Boys team who were County Runners-up Thursday Oct. 28thafter a thrilling County final in Moorefield GAA Club against Athgarvan. To get to any county final is a great achievement. They are a credit to themselves, their families, their clubs and school! Thank you to all the support that turned out on the day! We look forward to seeing all our football teams in action again in May 2018!
Parent Teacher Meetings
School closes early at 2.45pm on both November 14th and 15thBus told
This is your chance to discuss your child’s learning progress in their current school year with their class teacher. Please be mindful that meetings are scheduled at 10 minute intervals. Should you have any other concerns/issues which merit discussion please make an appointment so that this can be facilitated. Thank you.
School Photographs – Deadline Date!
Wednesday November 8th by 3pm is the final day if you want to order photographs. Thank you
IMPORTANT NOTICE – SCHOOL CLOSURE- The school has been directed by the Department of Education to close for one day on Thursday January 11th 2018 to hold a compulsory training day for teachers in the new Primary Language Curriculum.
Advertising in our School Christmas Calendar
If anybody is interested in advertising their business in our School Christmas Calendar this year, please do not hesitate to get in touch with anyone from our school’s Parent Teacher Association.
Scoil Bhríde PA Fun Bingo Night
Venue: O’Brien’s Pub, Date: November 16th, Time: 8pm. This event is being organised by our great PA to raise much needed funds for the school. We would ask you all to support this very worthwhile event by either attending on the night or donating a prize. Any donated prizes can be left into the school office. Thank you.
Christmas Shoe Box Appeal
This will be going ahead again this year. If you wish to take part please drop your boxes into the school office by 3pm on the deadline date of Wednesday 8th November. Thanks
