Circuit Service10.30amNext Sunday - Sept 10th at Trinity.Note the Time
At the start of our new Connexional year it is good to come together as a circuit to celebrate God’s goodness and faithfulness. Connexionalism is about being one, we are one church even though we meet in many different places week by week. The circuit service is an opportunity to worship together as God’s people called Methodists, to be encouraged and enjoy fellowship with friends from around the circuit. If you are able, please join us for this special service and if anyone needs a lift, ensure that they have the opportunity to attend by sharing transport. The service will be followed bya ‘bring and share’ lunch. All are welcome – if you would like to bring a contribution, it will be gratefully received.
A gentle reminder – During the week.
If you are a member of a group or just “popping in”. Please remember to lock the front door behind you.
Our Church building serves young people, venerable adults and most of all you.
Week commencing 3rd September 2017

HymnHear me, Listen to my prayer
Hear me, listen to my prayer and comfort me
Oh my heart is faint, so lead me
To the Rock that is higher than I
Hide me in the shelter of Your wing and carry me
Through this dry and weary land, oh lead me
To the Rock that is higher than I
Let me soar on wings like eagles
Let me run and run and not grow faint
When I'm tired and Lord You know I'm weary
In my weaknesses, I know Your strength
In my weakness Lord, I know Your strength
You Hear me, You listen to my prayer, You comfort me
When my heart is faint, You lead me
To the Rock that is higher than I
You hide me in the shelter of Your wing and carry me
In this dry and weary land, You lead me
To the Rock that is higher than I

FOR REFLECTION AND PRAYERFUL CONCERN
John 3.16
For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life.
Please pray for God’s blessing on Andrew Lomax, on Dorothy Pipet and on John Pughasthey lead our worship at Trinity today and on all who take part in today’s worship, whether in leadership or otherwise.
Remember in love any members of our Church Family who are unwell, infirm, recovering from surgery or for any other reason need our prayers at this time.
Pray for God’s blessing on all of the varied weekday meetings at Trinity which are resuming their activities this week.
Pray too for the Extraordinary Circuit Meetingon Thursday and the decisions made
We remember those Ministers within the Methodist society who are meeting new Churches, new folks and new manses.
We pray a blessing on all Christians as we begin a new Connexional year.
Please hold in prayer the thousands of people in Houston, Texas, forced from their homes by the flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey. Remember too the families bereaved by the tragic crash on the M1 motorway last week.
In the Methodist Prayer handbook, we are asked today to pray with Christians in West Africa, especially in Benin, in Côte d’Ivoire and in Togo. Also remember our Methodist colleagues in the South Eastern District.
