Recycle Guys

The N.C. Division of Pollution Prevention and Environmental Assistance adopted the Recycle Guys campaign from South Carolina for North Carolina elementary and middle school children in 2000. South Carolina created the Recycle Guys characters. To adopt the Recycle Guys campaign, contact the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control at (800) 768-7348.

RE3.org

The RE3.org campaign kicked off in 2005 for high-schoolers, college students and twenty-something’s. It was originally funded through a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency. If you would like to utilize the RE3.org artwork and/or commercials, please complete the MOU below.

Recycle More NC

N.C. adopted the tagline Recycle More from the state of Minnesota Pollution Control Agency in 2009. Contact them as a professional courtesy if you would like to use it ( This campaign is intended for the 35-year-old and older demographic to increase curbside recycling. If you would like to utilize the Recycle MoreNC artwork and/or commercials, please complete the MOU below.

To use the materials:

1)Fax(919-715-6794) a signed copy of the MOU, explaining your organization’s intended use of the materials and artwork, Attention To: Kelley Dennings.

2)I will then sign the MOU and return a completed copy to the organization requesting the materials and artwork.

3)Commercials can be downloaded or sent to an organization but N.C. DPPEA is not responsible for altering the contact information/tag line.

4)Posters, decals, stickers, tattoos and other outreach material can be downloaded from the Web site in several formats.

If you plan to alter the materials (other than tagging to your organization) that you download, N.C. DPPEA must receive a visual of the material and approve it before you use it. This can be done through e-mail, fax or regular mail.
