For a Prince’s Trust guaranteed place, you must commit to raise the minimum sponsorship of £2,800 (excluding gift aid and/or matched funding) in line with the dates below so that it aids your fundraising plans, as well as being in line with when we incur costs on your behalf (for your race place):

The Prince’s Trust - TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. We understand that it is important for you to start training and fundraising as early as possible. We therefore aim to notify all successful applicants in October, or within a month for those who apply after October. If your application is not immediately successful we will keep a reserve list and inform you if a place becomes available.
  1. In order to secure a Prince’s Trust guaranteed place in the Virgin Money London Marathon 2016you must pledge to raise at least £2,800 (excluding gift aid and/or any matched funding) by 24 May 2016.
  1. You are personally responsible for registering to run on the Virgin Money London Marathon registration console. Failure to do so will mean you will be unable to run.
  1. If The Prince’s Trust feels that you are not committed to reaching your fundraising target we reserve the right to remove your detailsfrom the Virgin Money London Marathon registration console – forfeiting your place so that we may offer it to another supporter.
  1. When fundraising, participants must agree to act lawfully and follow the fundraising guidelines given by The Prince’s Trust staff. We ask that fundraisers do not do anything that may harm the reputation of The Prince’s Trust or act in a manner contrary to our values.
  1. The registration fee of £150 for the Virgin Money London Marathon 2016 is payable by you and cannot be taken from any sponsorship that you raise. This amount is non-refundable.
  1. If you are injured or ill prior to the race and will not be able to take part, please notify The Prince’s Trust immediately. It may be that we can re-allocate your place to someone on our waiting list. Any money raised will be retained as a donation towards The Prince’s Trust.
  1. If you wish to withdraw from the event for any reason, you must notify The Prince’s Trust at the earliest opportunity. If this occurs any money raised will be retained as a donation towards The Prince’s Trust.
  1. The Prince’s Trust actively seeks publicity to promote and create awareness about its work in some of the world’s poorest countries. If there is anything about your run that might make a good story for the media then please let us know.
  1. All correspondence regarding this application should be directed to The Prince’s Trust rather than the Virgin Money London Marathon office.
  1. Black listing: If you fail to raise the £2,800 minimum fundraising pledge The Prince’s Trust are asked to inform the Virgin Money London Marathon organisers. This may impact your chances of running the Virgin Money London Marathon in the future.
