CONGRATULATIONS!

Court Queen of Glory #2485 Houston, Texas

Instituted February 12, 2005 –

With Yolanda Hernandez as Charter Chairperson.

Joan Malek is CDA Regent of the new JCDA Court.

February 13, 2005

What did your court do to celebrate National JCDA Day? The State Court would like to hear from all the courts that held special activities. Please send us the details of your events with pictures so we can put them in the State Scrapbook or SHARE magazine.

Court Madre de Dios #2068, Channelview, hosted a bake sale at their church to help raise money for convention and retreat expenses. They are still busy collecting goods for their baby drive.

Besides planning a wonderful, fun-filled convention, the ladies of Court Annunciation #1962 in La Grange, Texas, just finished several local projects. The Giddings State School Project involved wrapping gifts and putting together goody bags for

the residents of the State school. On their annual visit to Marywood the girls delivered baby items for the residents.

In Shiner, Texas, Court St. Paul #1604, wrapped up 2004 by attending mass together. They also completed their craft project for the home bound of their parish and Nursing home residents which was part of their Make a Difference Day project. Instead of having a Christmas gift exchange amongst the court, the girls voted to bring a gift for needy children for the local Blue Santa program.

Court Mary St. John #2197, Baytown, has been keeping busy by volunteering at the KC Christmas Lot, singing Christmas carols and delivering Christmas cards to the nursing home. For New Years, the girls opted to have a sleepover and partied together all night! They just wrapped up their candle fundraiser.

MORE STATE NEWS-----

Court Ancillae Mariae #1886 in Crosby, Texas has been busy this new year hosting a JCDA Luncheon and Jewelry Show after mass in their Parish Center. All the proceeds benefited breast cancer research. In January, the group took a field trip to the IMAX in Houston and also helped with the Eastern Deanery Meeting by providing covered dishes and helping serve food. This spring the court is looking forward to having a Lenten retreat at Circle Lake.
