PESCARE SHOW 2017
THE HIGHLIGHT EVENT IN THE SPORT FISHING CALENDAR FEATURES A RENEWED AND EXPANDED FORMAT
25 - 27 February 2017 in Vicenza
IEG’s edition of the International Sport Fishing Exhibition.
Vicenza, 25-27 February 2017 – From Saturday 25 to Monday 27 February, the best brands in the fishing industry, a sector that boasts over 150 companies and 1,481 specialized shops in Italy, with an estimated turnover of 420 million euro, will participate in PESCARE SHOW 2017, the International Sport Fishing and Recreational Boating Exhibition organized by Italian Exhibition Group Spa, the events company formed from the merger of Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza.
After the very positive results of the last edition, which grew 14% with a total of 13,100 visitors and 180 exhibitors, an increase of 18% over 2015, the 2017 edition of PESCARE SHOW features growing numbers and a larger, renewed exhibition. 209 brands will attend the event, an increase of 16% over 2016, spread across an exhibition space of almost 9,000 sq m (+25%).
The exhibition is a benchmark for an Italian sector that encompasses 1,650,000 anglers, most of whom are aged between 25 and 54, and is an essential business and information platform for companies, professionals and enthusiasts in the industry, partly thanks to its participation in the main professional associations, sports federations and fishing schools.
The format of this edition will offer more opportunities for industry enthusiasts to actively participate: the experiential side of the event has been enhanced with numerous demo areas, including the spectacular Acquademo in Hall 7, the largest mobile aquarium in Europe, a structure with a capacity of 22,400 liters of water, which will host many demonstrations and activities. Do not miss the Tashinari Namiki Show, which the well-known Japanese fisherman, an ambassador for many large brands in the industry, will exclusively offer to the public at the Vicenza fair on Saturday 25 at 11.30 and Sunday 26 February at 14.30 in the large Acquademo.
There will be many opportunities to try out new equipment and techniques, to meet international industry ambassadors and to benefit from insights and discussions about every fishing technique and speciality, from spinning to fly fishing, match fishing, carp fishing, sea fishing, surf casting and big game fishing.
Hall 6 in particular, named Fly Fishing World, will be entirely devoted to fly fishing and will see the participation of the best artificial fly manufacturers in the world, who will animate the event with their live demonstrations at the “Pescare Show Fly Tying Experience”.
Another significant area is the Competence Center, managed by The Fly Fishing Nation, an international network of specialists with over 83,000 Instagram followers: presenting a series of large screen presentations and the opportunity to meet experts face-to-face and to experiment with making flies, the Competence Center will offer training and information for fans of fly fishing.
Hall 7 will allow visitors to discover the best Italian and international production, with exhibitors as well as buyers from foreign countries such as Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Serbia and Slovenia. Meanwhile, fishing enthusiasts will be able to buy materials and equipment in Hall 1.
The event will also offer an overview of recreational boating, with the fourth edition of the Boating Show, an outstanding exhibition featuring boats, engines and related components for recreational sea fishing.
Opening hours: Saturday 25 February and Sunday 26 February from 9.00 to 19.00, Monday 27 February from 9.00 to 16.00.
