The Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) is aimed at people who aren’t native Chinese speakers. The test has six levels according to the knowledge of the participants. The test-taker can freely choose the test version either in simplified or traditional characters.

C / Level 5 / 1920-3840 hours of Chinese courses or a basic vocabulary of 8000 words / C1 / 120 min
C / Level 6 / More than 3840 hours of Chinese courses or a basic vocabulary of 8000 words / C2 / 120 min
All participants will receive a document with their test results. Those who pass the exam also receive a certificate which can serve as credential for applying for a Taiwan scholarship, applying for admission to the academic programs at colleges and universities in Taiwan, getting a job, etc.
