Test Administrator Responsibilities
1.To attend a training session conducted by the school test coordinator.
2.To read the Test Administrator's Manual and the Testing Code of Ethics prior to the administration of the test.
3.To keep all test materials secure by following all proper test procedures.
4.To conduct an evaluation of the testing site prior to the test to verify no materials or information are visible that would assist students with the test question(s).
5.To follow the test administration procedures precisely and administer the tests in an unbiased manner.
6.To follow the appropriate procedures for distribution and collection of all materials used in administering the test. This includes, but is not limited to:
a. Verifying the number of test booklets and answer sheets provided
b. Collecting all test booklets and student answer sheets at the end of test administration
c. Verifying the number of test booklets and student answer sheets collected at the end of the administration matches the number provided
d. Returning the answer sheets and test booklets to the test coordinator IMMEDIATELY upon completion of the test administration.
7.To work with the test coordinator to implement appropriate modifications for exceptional students, provided the modification(s):
a. Is documented in the student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP), Written Accommodation Plan (WAP) or LEP plan;
b. Is used on a regular basis by the student in the classroom
8.To work closely with the proctor to ensure that a proper testing atmosphere is provided.
9.To ensure that the TO BE COMPLETED BY TEACHER OR COUNSELOR section of the answer document is completed for each student tested and that the responses are accurate.
10.To review and edit student answer documents for completeness and scorability.
11.To complete the Special Codes section on the student answer documents as outlined by the school test coordinator.
12.To follow the procedures established by the school test coordinator for returning all used and unused testing materials.
13.To report to the school test coordinator or principal in writing any irregularities, violations of test procedures or the Testing Code of Ethics (the absence of a written report by the test administrator is viewed as an acknowledgement that no irregularities or violations occurred).
14.To account for all test materials issued for the test administration.
