  1. Commitment to League Mission

Having been a part of the planning and implementation process to transform the city of Charlotte and the state of North Carolina as well as, advocacy manager of the Safe Routes to School National Partnership I understand the importance and relevance for bicycle accommodations in both rural and urban environments and across all socio economic backgrounds. My professional history has exposed me to local, regional, state and national budgetary and implementation processes. I am fully committed to save lives, improve lives and clear the path for success through the bicycle in people’s daily life.

  1. Service experience as a leader in a non-profit or business organization

As noted in other areas, I have a long history of service and leadership in the non-profit and bicycle specific non-profit segments. Committing to 1000 volunteer hours to create a suitability map, the first of its kind in NC and modeled in other cities thereafter, the creation of a master bike plan for the city of Charlotte and service at local and state level cycling non-profits exceeds all requirements. Beyond that I have a Duke University nonprofit management certification that has propelled me to great success in this industry.

With my Duke nonprofit management certification, Safe Routes to School National Partnership and Clean Air Carolina service, I have extensive experience in advocacy, board development, communications, fundraising, human resources, liability, management, marketing and especially strategic planning.

  1. Personal and professional character

As a more seasoned maturing professional with a history of advocacy and involvement in a variety of social and legislative experiences, my situational awareness can be relied upon to steer and promote unity to a common goal.

  1. An ability and willingness to bring resources to the League

By my submission, I am committed to the League now and in the future. National groups like the league are the pulpit in which others take direction from. I will be able to fulfill all travel and donor requirements for service on the board.

  1. Willing to sign a statement of support for the League’s Code of Ethics

I am ready and willing to sign off on all parts of the League’s Code of Ethics.
