Long synopsis

Bosnia. The modern war. The horror that seemed so far away breaks out in Europe.

The war correspondents. Men and women who, for different motives, dedicate their lives to covering the conflicts that destroy the world while proclaiming man s capacity for destruction.

The fight for an audience. How distant pain is exploited to gain public success. COMANCHE TERRITORY is the story of Laura, a successful young journalist who travels to the besieged city of Sarajevo during the Bosnian war.

There she meets Mikel, an experienced reporter with firm convictions, and Jose, who tries to get through the harshness of daily life in the war-torn city, through his obsession with filming the bombing of a bridge.

The contact with the victims, the encounters with reporters from all over the world who cover the conflict, the confrontations with Mikel and Jose, who disagree with her opportunist approach to the news, take Laura on an interior trip parallel to her daily journeys through the streets of Sarajevo.

With the two reporters, Jadranka, the Croatian interpreter, Helga, an experienced German photographer, Manuel, an inexperienced Argentinian reporter, an other professional companions, Laura will share days that will influence her life forever.

“For a war reporter, Comanche Territory is a place where the instinct says to park the car and turn around; where a point of nightfall always appears and you walk sticking close to the walls, towards the shots that sound off in the distance, while you listen to the sound of your footsteps over the broken glass”.
