(TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION)ORDER 2010

Clackmannanshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by Section 14(1) and (4) as read with Section 2(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers, being satisfied that the traffic on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Order should be restricted or prohibited as hereinafter provided because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said lengths, hereby make the following Order:-

(1)This Order may be cited as "The Clackmannanshire Council (A977 Gartarry to Blairingone) (Temporary Speed Restriction) Order 2010" and shall come into force at 0001hours on the 22nd February 2010for a period of nine weeks or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

(2)The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

(3)No person shall use, or permit the use of, any vehicle on each length of road specified in the Schedule, during the period specified in Article 1,at a speed exceeding 30mph when a restriction is identified as applying to a part or parts of that length of road by means of an appropriate traffic sign.

(4)The restriction imposed by this Order shall be in addition to and not in derogation of any restriction or requirement imposed by any regulations made or having effect as if made under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or by or under any other enactment.

A977 Gartarry to Blairingone / From Gartarry roundabout northwards for a distance of 2.4 km or thereby.
A977 Gartarry to Blairingone / From Foad Wood northwards for a distance of 2km or thereby.

Statement of Reasons for Making the Order

The temporary 30 mph speed restriction is considered necessary to facilitate resurfacing works being carried out on the A977 Gartarry to Blairingone, but will only have effect in relation to such part of parts of the lengths of road as are indicated by the appropriate traffic signs and during the periods corresponding to those lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice.

(TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2010

Clackmannanshire Council has made the above named Order under Section 14(1) and (4) as read with Section 2(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) on 11th February 2010.

The effect of this Order shall be to temporarily restrict the speed of vehicles to 30 mph on the lengths of road identified in the Schedule to this Notice during the period from 0001 hours on the 22nd February 2010for a period of nine weeks, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. The temporary speed restriction is considered necessary to facilitate resurfacing works being carried out on the A977 Gartarry to Blairingone, but will only have effect in relation to such part of parts of the lengths of road as are indicated by the appropriate traffic signs and during the periods corresponding to those lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice.

A copy of the order, together with a copy of the relative plan may be examined on or at Clackmannanshire Council's Headquarters at Greenfield, Alloa, FK10 2AD, Kilncraigs, Alloa or Lime Tree House, Castle Street, Alloa, FK10 1EX or at any Council Library / CAP, during normal office hours, free of charge.
