TEMPORARY SHUTTLE VAN DRIVER
Status: Temporary Hourly
Dept: SafetySecurity
Reports to: Program Coordinator
Status: Part - TimeTemporary -$15.30 per hour
This Shuttle Van Driver is responsible for driving a 10 passenger van and providing safe and reliable transportation service between the college campus and the satellite parking lot, located in the Sears parking lotoff of campus. We are looking for an individual who will transport staff, students, faculty members and other persons in a courteous, friendly and professional manner. The hours of this position areMonday through Friday between 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A valid WashingtonState driver’s license
- Six (6) months experience transporting passengers
- A clean driving record
- Must obtain a driver’s abstract from the Department Of Licensing (The cost is $10.00)
- Able to work varied hours depending on the needs of the department
- Reliable and punctual
SKILL IN:
- Working calmly under the occasional pressure
- Providing excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to interact professionally and personably with a diverse population of students, staff and faculty members
PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to meet the physical demands of sitting for prolonged periods of time using repetitive arm, hand, finger and foot movements
- Ability to work with frequent in-person interaction and numerous interruptions, work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and prioritize competing demands is essential
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT/SALARY:
This position will work part-time up-to-six months. As an hourly employee, there is no guarantee of length of service and hourly employees maintain an “at-will” employment relationship; this means that either you or the College may terminate the employment relationship at any time, for any reason.
Hourly employees may not work more than 1050 hours in a rolling 12 month period. If an hourly employee holds more than one hourly position at the College, the hours from all positions are limited to 1050 hours, regardless of the scheduled end-date of the position. Employee benefits are not provided to hourly employees.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- In compliance with the Immigration and Nationality Act, proof of authorization to work in the United States will be required at the time of hire
