An exciting opportunity awaits you with the Provincial Schools Authority working in the Ministry of Education, Ernest C. Drury School for the Deaf (Elementary Program).We require a caring, innovative and experienced educator to perform the role of Principal. You will: effectively manage financial, human and material resources; support and lead change initiatives; influence and persuade others; work cooperatively and collaboratively with stakeholders and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.

LOCATION: Milton

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.

2.Qualifications as Principal (Part 1 and 2 or willingness to obtain Part 2 by September 2016).

3.Experience in a leadership position.

4.Specialist of the Deaf and Special Education qualifications or willingness to obtain by September 2016.

5.Excellent knowledge of: Ontario’s educational system, the Education Act/associated regulations, the Ontario Curriculum, Special Education processes and the education of Deaf students.

6.Well-developed communication/interpersonal/supervisory/management skills.

7.Fluency in American Sign Language.
