Lawmakers passed the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015, which means there are additional dollarsto increase funds for and restore past cuts to programs keeping seniors healthy and safe in their homes and communities. But, it will be up to Members of Congress to decide how those funds are spent.
It is critical that Representatives and Senators hear from YOU about why increasing investments in aging programs is important to you and your community. Please CALL Congress this week and ask others to do so as well!

THE MESSAGE:The Older Americans Act is the backbone of the nation’s home and community supports system, helping older adults age withindependence and dignity by providing them with in-home support, meals, transportation, caregiver support.
More funds are needed for the Older Americans Act and Elder Justice Act. In fact, their funding levels do not even keep up with inflation and the growing number of older adults who need services to stay in their homes and communities. Please restore recent cuts and increase funds for OAA and other aging programs.
As a constituent, please urge your Members of Congress to do more for seniors, not less, by protecting aging services and increasing funding for the Older Americans Act and Elder Justice programs. Our seniors are counting on Congress.
