Job purpose
To provide administrative support for LifeGuide research projects.
Key accountabilities/primary responsibilities / % Time /
1.  / To provide high quality administrative support for Lifeguide studies, including:
·  The co-ordination of logistical aspects of the study, including preparing study packs and ordering study materials.
·  Arranging and assisting with meetings including sourcing suitable meeting rooms, liaising with GP surgeries, and co-investigators.
·  Preparing meeting agendas and taking minutes.
·  Filtering and dealing with enquiries.
·  Arranging interviews with participants.
·  Arranging and keeping records of payments to participants / 50 %
2.  / To develop, maintain and update administrative systems for tracking the recruitment and assessment of research participants, to include maintaining accurate records in the central project spreadsheet. To ensure that participant data is stored securely and confidentially. / 20 %
3.  / To liaise with transcribers, checking and distributing audio files, and maintaining records regarding audio files and transcripts and arranging payment of transcribers / 10%
4.  / General administrative support for Lifeguide projects, including purchasing, booking travel, maintaining records (such as Pure), organising workshops / 10%
5.  / Any other duties as allocated by the line manager following consultation with the post holder. / 10%

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Criteria / Essential / Desirable / How to be assessed
Qualifications, knowledge and experience / Relevant NVQ2/GCSE/City and Guilds or equivalent qualification or experience.
Previous work experience within an administrative or secretarial support role.
Ability to contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of effective administrative systems, including attention to detail.
Ability to produce clear, accurate and concise written documentation
Able to demonstrate a sufficient knowledge of work systems, equipment processes and standard IT packages; including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook / Relevant NVQ3/HNC/A-level/City and Guilds or equivalent qualification or experience.
RSA II word-processing (or equivalent qualification or experience).
Previous experience of working on research studies.
Knowledge of clinical trial regulations and GCP. / Interview/Application
Planning and organising / Ability to organise own workload and work well with minimal supervision.
Ability to undertake multiple administrative tasks, prioritising tasks where necessary. / Interview/Application
