Scope

  • To manage all aspects of the tutor team including face to face, online/blended learning provision for both long and short courses.)
  • To ensure quality and compliance throughout the provision, working alongside the Quality Manager.

Main duties & responsibilities

  • To manage all aspects of thetutor team performance and productivity
  • To work closely with Quality Manager in all aspects of quality of the delivery of training, including liaising with awarding bodies and ensuring that all processes and documentation are fully compliant with awarding and funding bodies, Ofsted and any other relevant organisations.
  • To oversee the planning and management of current and future classroom programmes in accordance with awarding body and funding body requirements.
  • To deliver both blended and face to face training for primary, post registration and CPD courses where necessary.
  • To standardise and manage the updating of the resources used to teach the classroom & blended qualifications.
  • To help to recruit, train and to carry out annual appraisals for all tutors, as well as ongoing tutor quality assurance observations.
  • To facilitate communication between tutors, learners, workplace & Tempdent.
  • To remain current in your skills & knowledge of the dental sector and legislative requirements.
  • To attend NEBDN, City & Guilds and other relevant workshops, training events, meetings & other CPD opportunities.
  • To promote and comply with all current and future Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety legislative requirements.
  • To maintain confidentiality of Tempdent, learner and staff information.
  • To carry out any other duties reasonably requested.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential / Desirable
  • Dental nurse qualification & recent CPD evidence

  • Teaching qualification(s)
/ 
  • GDC registration
/ 
  • Experience of teaching and managingNEBDN qualifications
/ 
  • Experience of working within Work Based Learning programmes
/ 
