AR Kaufman Family YMCA, 6-21 Year Olds, Sunday 1-3 pm


Girls Program: Girls will build confidence and learn more about themselves and their community. Programming includes volunteering, guest speakers, leadership activities, and a Find Your Fit component. Girls ages 14-18. Mondays 6-9 pm. No cost. Register at Chaplin Family YMCA.
LEAD: The first step to becoming a leader in your community! Learn valuable leadership skills, while playing games, completing Volunteer Projects and making new friends. Police Vulnerable Sector check required by the first day of program. Youth ages 13-18. Tuesdays 6-8 pm. $45. Register at Chaplin Family YMCA. *note-this course is required by anyone interested in becoming a Leader in Training for a YMCA Day Camp
LEADERSHIP: A more advanced look at leadership concepts. More opportunities are given for these students to volunteer in the community and at the YMCA (within programs and at special events). Recommended as a follow-up to the LEAD or LIT programs. Current Police Vulnerable Sector check required by the first day of program. Youth ages 13-18. Tuesdays 6-8 pm. $45 (free for YMCA Members). Register at Chaplin Family YMCA. *note-students under the age of 16 are required to be registered in this program, or LEAD in order to continue on as an LIT with YMCA Day Camps
Food 4 U: Staff and volunteers provide youth with a healthy, family style meal, free of charge. Every Wednesday at 6 pm. No registration required.
Drop-In Sports: Staff and volunteers facilitate different sports each Wednesday from 7:45-9 pm in the gym at the Chaplin Family YMCA. Suggestions welcome! No registration required.
Jam Session: Join our music teacher each Friday night for an informal way to learn more about your favourite instrument, or share your talent with your peers!

Youth Volunteer Council: Students from all walks of life meet every Friday night from 5:30-6:30 to discuss World and Social Justice Issues, as well as plan events and vote on important issues in the Teen Drop-In Zone community. There is no cost, but an application is required. Email for details and to apply. Successful applicants will register at the Chaplin Family YMCA front desk.

Stork Family YMCA (Studio), 6-21 year olds, Saturdays 1:30-3:30pm
AR Kaufman Family YMCA (Gym), 6-21 year olds, Sundays 1-3pm
Youth who have been in Canada for less than two years learn more about their community, practice their English language skills, meet new friends and go on a field trip. Participants who complete the program earn a 3 month free membership to the YMCA. No Cost. Registration required (please visit the Front Desk at your nearest YMCA). Contact for more information. **please note that dates and times differ during the summer months**
