Venue Requirements
□ A proscenium stage with the minimum dimension of 32' (9.75m) wide by 26' (8.53m)
deep. Depth is determined by the DS edge of playing area to the US full black drop.
Height is ideally 20′. In some cases the set pieces can be adjusted to a minimum height of 15′.
□ If there is a balcony or a thrust stage arrangement in the house, the show may
require a deeper stage because of sight lines. The surface of the stage must be smooth
and level, free of any protruding screws heads, nails, tacks or large paint globules. If
the surface is rough, a dance floor with the minimum dimensions of 20' (6.09) by 32'
(9.75m) will be required.
□ Air conditioning or heating fans, which create air turbulence on stage – will need to be
turned off during one segment of the performance – or if necessary turned off for
the entire performance.
Masking Requirements
□ Black backdrop, legs and borders need to be sufficient for side masking.
Set Description
□ The set consists of a 30′ (9.14m) wide by 7'6" (2.28m) high wall, which breaks down into six
4′ (1.21m) and two 3′ (.91m) sections. Each section is constructed of 1" (2.54cm) aluminum and steel tubing with Luan facing. The wall is held up by six 3' (.91m) deep floor jacks and a 3′ deep platform. The wall needs to be secured by adding 700 (318kg’s) - 800 lbs (362kg’s) of stage weights to the platform and floor jacks.
□ There is also a 16' (4.88m) high light pole, and a 8' (2.44m) wide by 14' 6″ (4.27m) high
billboard constructed of 1″ (2.54cm) aluminum tubing, and several crates and boxes. The
light pole and billboard are positioned behind the wall, and need to be secured with stage
weights. This weight is included in the total weight of 700 lbs. (318k’s).
Technical Personnel Required
□ One audio technician and one light technician for the run of the show.
Audio Requirements
□ Two professional CD players and / or two mini disc decks with auto stop / auto cue for
recorded sound track and sound effects. One CD player or mini disc for continuous play of
recorded back ground sound. A total of three playback decks.
□ House speakers need to be adequate to provide clear, even sound to the entire seating area.
In addition, two speakers set up behind the set / wall for stereo background effects and two
stage monitors positioned stage right and left behind the proscenium for playback to the entire
down DS area.
□ Stage manager has to be in communication with the sound and light operator. A
quality wireless head set is preferred; if one is NOT available then the head set cable
must allow the stage manager to move freely and unrestricted from stage right to
stage left wings.

Lighting Requirements
□ General stage wash with front, top, back and side lighting. There are 16 specials.
(Please refer to light plan).
Scheduling Requirements
□ Set-Up – 2 hours are required to unpack and construct the set with four stagehands.
□ Tech Set-up – 4 to 6 hours, it depends upon the lighting hang. If the light plot is hung
before arrival then it will take 4 hours. If the plot has to be hung or instruments
have to be repositioned then it will take longer.
□ Strike – 2 hours with four stagehands.
□ Load-in / Load-out – Fifteen minutes with four deck hands. It may take more deck hands if
the carts and cases have to be lifted up onto or down from the loading dock or stage level.

□ Pre-Show Rehearsal and warm-up – One hour before house opens.
□ Between Shows – One hour to reset stage and props before house opens. If there are two
shows back to back and the starting time of the first show is delayed then it will affect the
starting time of the second show.
Other Requirements
□ Access to an air compressor to fill up an inner tube and basketball.
□ A loaf of plain white bread, Wonder bread or similar, fruit jelly and butter knife. This is not
hospitality item. The sandwich is a prop in the show.
Dressing Room Requirements
□ One clean, well-lit dressing room set at a comfortable temperature.
□ One chair, one table, one mirror and a costume rack.
Hospitality
□ Early morning arrivals for load-in, tech and performances. It would be appreciated if the
performer and two crew members were provided with coffee, chilled juices, fruits, assorted
bagels with cream cheese and yogurt.
□ Between performances we would appreciate a light lunch with coffee, juices, cheese and
vegetable tray, turkey, ham or beef sandwiches on whole grain breads. Soup and salad is
another option. Chocolate cookies are always a hit.
□ Please provide bottle water for the performer and two crew for the entire run of the show.
Loading Requirements
□ Generally it takes four deck hand fifteen minuets to load-in and load-out the production.
If heavy lifting is required then it will take additional crew.
□ If the load-in and load-out crew is different from the stage crew because of union or house
rules. Then we will need to schedule arrival and departure ahead of time.

□ The set and props are shipped via commercial carrier or by the production companies own
truck and trailer. The method depends on the tour and will be determined well in advance
of the companies arrival.
□ When shipped by commercial carrier the set and props are contained in six cases. There are
two 2′ x 2′ x 8′ cases weighing 500lb and three smaller cases. The cases are shipped without
wheels. Dollies are needed to unload and move the cases. If the theaters load-in doors are at
ground level, then a ramp or fork lift is required to unload the trailer.
□ When shipped by production company the set is on two 8′ long rolling carts, each weighing
500lb and four more rolling carts and cases weighing several hundred pounds each. The cases
have 6″ casters so the surface at the loading area has to be hard and smooth.
□ The productions company’s trailer tailgate is 16″ off the ground. If the loading dock is 4′
high then we need to lift or ramp up to dock level.
□ If there is a freight elevator it has to accommodate an 8′ long cart or case.
Parking Requirements
□ Safe and secure parking for a crew cab pickup truck and a 28 trailer.
