Guidancenotes

ThisSchemeofWorkillustrateshowtheunitcontentcouldbedeliveredusingathreeterm,10weeksperterm,approach.Considerationshouldbegiventothecontentinotherunitswithinthisqualificationwhenplanningyourunitandlessons–thecontentinsomeunits,forexample,wouldbenefitfrombeingcoveredpriortoothers–especiallytheknowledgeandtheoryelementscontainedwithintheexternallyassessedunits.

Thisunitenableslearnerstoparticipateinatechnicalprojectthatrequiresthemtoworkaspartofateam.Thisunitisafocalendpointforthequalification,providingopportunitiesforrealsynergyacrossthequalification. Learnerswilllearnabouttheprojectlifecycle,resources,issuesandmethodologywhilealsoprovidingtheopportunityforsynopticassessment.Theunitisbestassessedthroughasingleprojectandshouldincludeemployerinvolvement.
