Please submit one application per team. If you have multiple teams please submit separate applications.
1. Eligibility
1.1Dance teams who have won an IASF Worlds bid from an eligible Australian Event Provider in 2015 may apply.
1.2Team Members must:
a) be 14yrs or over by 31 December 2016
b) be permanent residents of Australia on the 2016 ICU World Cheerleading Championships date
c)be available for the official tour period
d) return all appropriate information, forms, deposits, etc. to the ACU by the required timelines to ensure administration and travel requirements can be met
e) agree that individual advertising is not permitted on Team Australia uniforms.
2. Team Size
Team size must be minimum 12 athletes, maximum 24 people
3. Tryout Process
3.1A video of the actual bid winning performance must be uploaded as a private video on YouTube and the link submitted with the online application form by 5.00pm on Friday 8 January 2016. Teams may also upload a more recent video of the same routine to show development.
3.2The ACU accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected applications.
4.Selection Panel & Team Selection
4.1Team Australia Dance Teams will be selected via a panel of judges selected by the ACU and will include an ICU representative.
4.2The highest scoring teams in each category will be named the Team Australia representative team.
4.3The decision in relation to Team Australia selection is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5.Tour Schedule
5.1 The official period for this tour is 19-23 April (plus travel dates).
5.2Teams must nominate if they are travelling via their own travel arrangements or wish to be booked through the Team Australia Team Manager.
6. Finances
The Team Australia ICU World Cheerleading Championships Tour is self-funded.
7. Notification
Teams will be notified of their selection or otherwise by 15 February 2016.
