2. Bill Nye video on “The Cell” - time permitting.
3. Following the video, any student who needs to finish his or her cell illustration should do so today.
4. As student finish their Cell Illustration projects (Formative Grade), they can work on the next vocabulary words, “genes” to “Punnett Square.”
5. Closure: clean work area / Homework (for Winegarden and Chaney – finish defining A2 vocabulary) / Cell Illustration

3. Pass out science graphic organizer sheet. Complete Lesson 1 section of it.
4. Pass out “Read Around the Text” refer to it while previewing the next lesson.
5. Read pp. A14 – 21 (Lesson 2 of Chapter 1)
6. Closure: What is the purpose of mitosis and meiosis? / Homework (for Mangum – finish defining A2 vocabulary)
Everyone is to study definitions for next Thursday’s test.

4. Closure Review the process of mitosis and meiosis through completing “Mitosis” and “Meiosis” diagram sheet. / Study vocabularyand handouts for Chapter 1 – Test next Thursday.
