Speaking of “Cool Cards”

  • Please remember to reward our students for following our expectations. It would be great if each teacher on each team would pick someone different each week. After you give students their copy, send the pink copy to us in the office and we will give them a movie pass.
  • Remember to display your cards too. What better way to celebrate than to let the kids know that you’re happy about their behavior.

KYCID/PBIS –reminders-

Please continue to follow the appropriate steps with sending students to the office. Always try our assertive discipline steps of warnings, holding students after class to conference, taking break, giving a BMA, having a team conference, having a parent conference or having home communication some way before the behavior gets to the point of where an office referral is mandated.

After the end of each 9-week period we will reward students who do well with their behavior and attendance. The criteria is as follows :

School Level Rewarding Criteria

The following information is the criteria for eligibility for school level rewards that may be scheduled at or near the end of each 9-week grading period. These have been agreed upon by the SLMS KYCID PLC group.

  • Students will have no more than one (1) office referral per each 9-week grading period.
  • Students will have no more than two (2) full days of unexcused absences per each 9-week grading period.

Please review the information below. As you can see, our office referrals are up a little from last year.
