  • Teachers, please release the JROTC cadet's who are participating in the Mayor's Luncheon @ 10:00 am to report to the JROTC building.
  • Latino Voices is hosting a College Night for all White Station students and their families. Come by to receive information about the college application process, FAFSA, scholarships, DACA, and more! College night will be held TONIGHT at 6:00 pm in the auditorium.
  • Attention all Community Service Club Members, we will be having another school clean up TODAY. We will meet in the picnic area behind the cafeteria. Please come out and help beautify the school
  • Congrats to everyone that made the White Station High School Science Olympiad team. Our first team meeting will be TODAY until 3:00 in Ms. Davis's room.
  • The Muslim Students' Association will hold a meeting TODAY after school in Mr. Ide's room M219. We will discuss plans for our community service project.
  • FBLA is collecting toys to benefit under-privileged children at Porter-Leath through December 1. Please drop off new, un-open toys in M118.
  • Attention ALL Cadets participating on Veterans’ Day Parade. If you are marching with the Battalion staff, Color Guard, Armed Drill Team or Unarmed Drill Team, practice is MANDATORY Tuesday and Thursday after school from 3:15 – 4:30. If you cannot make it, please either leave a note in your team’s box or text your team’s commander prior to the practice.

  • White Station HOSA is having Spirit Night at the Chipotle on Poplar--Saturday, November 11th from 4-8 PM! Help support us by purchasing anything from the Chipotle on Poplar and mentioning WSHS HOSA!
  • Seniors, Barnes and Barnes will be in the cafeteria during all lunches on Tuesday and Wednesday selling Senior shirts. If you did not attend the senior picnic, but still want the senior t-shirt…here is your chance. She will also be selling a long sleeve baseball t-shirts with a different design as well. Order forms can be picked up in the senior office. The cost is $10 for the Senior Picnic t-shirt and $20 for the Baseball style t-shirt.
  • Advanced Placement Dues ($94-$142) are being collected until November 17.
  • JROTC is having a movie night on Friday November 17th from 3:30-7:00. This is going to be a double feature! There will be snacks to purchase. Tickets are only $5 ! Pay at the door.
  • The White Station DECA chapter is conducting a canned food drive to support home bound Senior Citizens of our community. Canned fruit, vegetable, soup, and canned meat donations, can be dropped off in the Freshman Academy office, the Main office and room M123, now through November 21st. We thank you in advance for your support!
  • JROTC will be collecting non-perishable food in the JROTC building for the Mid-South Food Bank through November 30th.
  • Students can now sign up for a 2nd semester online class. See your alphabet counselor for details.
  • SCS is soliciting students for their summer internship. Interested students should go to SCS website and look for Career Ready! Summer Internships. The applications will be on SCS website by 10/31. Applications are due by December 1. Students may submit applications to Ms. Erma Carter at the BOE (Board of Education), but they must be turned in by December 1. (Late applications will only be processed if space is available; incomplete applications will not be processed).
  • Seniors... a large number of you have inquired about scholarships. Here are a few tips:
  • Look at the financial aid and scholarships tab on the website of the schools you have applied
  • Ask your parent or legal guardian about scholarships at their job or school discounts for TN schools
  • Visit WSHS Counselors' website weekly (under the Scholarships tab)
  • Set up a profile on to receive scholarships that fit you
  • Remember: Scholarships are awarded, not given.. based on GPA, ACT/SAT score, essays, volunteer hours, talents, athletics. You must put in the hard work to reap the benefits!!

  • Congratulations for the boys and girls bowling team who were both victorious in matches last night. The boys team is undefeated and has now won five matches in a row.
  • The ASVAB is TODAY at 7:30 in the library. Those students who signed up need to report promptly and prepared with a #2 pencil. Consequently, the library will be closed this morning.

Announcements for Monday, November 6, 2017
  • Congratulations to all who participated in the Mu Alpha Theta competition over the weekend. It was a great success for the team! Andrew Wu, Andy Chai, Angus McKee, Anming Gu, Jason H'ng, Jie Wang, Jonathan Zhang, Kevin Luo, Pranav Rajeshaker, Sarah Ding, Sarah Shen, and Zhaohan Zhu were able to pull in more than 20 individual trophies combined! Also, the Math Bowl Team was able to take the first place state math bowl title and 300$. The team also won 2nd place overall.
  • Congratulations to the following art students for winning in the annual BRIARCREST REGIONAL ACADEMIC ART COMPETITION: Spartan Art Students took FIRST PLACE in the Senior division with the art of Kennedy Jarrett and FIRST PLACE in the Sophomore division with the art of Shridhar ATHIN-YARA-NAN. SPECIAL AWARDS went to MADDY DANZIGER for "EXCELLENCE IN EXPRESSIVE QUALITY" and JAMES TRENTHEM for "EXCELLENCE IN DRAWING". 3rd PLACE went to SARA SOMERS in the Junior Division and an HONORABLE MENTION went to JIE WANG in the SOPHOMORE division.
