R&TTE Directive (1999/5/EC) Notified Body (EU market entry)
TUV SUD BABT is a Notified Body under the R&TTE Directive and can cover the full scope of the Directive.
TUV SUD BABT can provide:
· Identification of essential radio test suites under Annex III
· Assessment of Technical Construction Files (TCF) under Annex IV
· Full Quality Assurance (FQA) under Annex V
TUV SUD BABT undertakes to perform an initial review of Annex IV applications within 5 working days subject to receipt of a complete Technical Construction File (TCF). All documentation supplied should be in electronic format.

Marine Equipment Directive (96/98/EC) Notified Body Services
TÜV SÜD BABT is the certification body ofTÜV SÜD Product Service, and is a Notified Body under the Marine Equipment Directive 96/98/EC (MED) regulated by the UK’s Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
Products Scope
TUV SUD BABT is a Notified Body for carrying out conformity assessment procedures for Modules B, D, E, F and G under the Marine Equipment Directive. The scope of appointment coversAnnex A.1/4 (Navigation Equipment), A.1/5 (Radio-communication Equipment), A1.1 (some Lifesaving appliances) and A1.6 (Colreg). TUV SUD BABT is also a Nominated UK Body for equipments listed in Annex A.2 of the directive, where no standards are yet published. All relevant application forms and guidance documents for MED approval (Ships Wheel Mark) can be downloaded HERE:
Telecommunications Certification Body (TCB) (US market entry)
TUV SUD BABT is a TCB and can issue grants on behalf of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for a variety of radio and telecom products.

Foreign Certification Body (FCB) (Canadian market entry)
TUV SUD BABT is an FCB and can issue grants on behalf of Industry Canada for a variety of radio and telecom products.

Registered Foreign Conformity Assessment Body (RFCAB) (Japan market entry)

Compliance Management Services
Our Compliance Management engineers offer a range of services designed to assist you with your various market entry requirements. These include:
· Compilation of Technical Construction File (TCF) for submission to the R&TTE Notified Body (TUV SUD BABT)
· Notifications to R&TTE countries where a non harmonised frequency band is used.
· Management of TCB applications and submittal of the filing to the TCB (TUV SUD BABT)
