2700 PISTOL MATCH

WHO MAY COMPETE:

Open to any individual member of the National Rifle Association.

Memberships will be available at Range.

RANGE LOCATION:

The JosephBeesleyPistolRange is located behind the TaylorHillsCompostCenter (used to be the Taylor Animal Shelter) at 16300 Racho Road. When exiting From I-75, take the Eureka Road exit and go West 1/2 mile to Racho Rd. Then, go south 1/2 mile to the CompostCenter. When coming from Telegraph Rd, turn east on Eureka Rd., go 1 mile to Racho Rd., than turn south to the range. You may also take Telegraph Rd. 1 mile farther South to Pennsylvania Ave., where you will turn East and go to Racho Rd. Turn North on Racho Rd. and go to the range.

FACILITIES:

60 Firing Points, Paved and controlled by a Loudspeaker System, with Electrically controlled

Targets. The 50-yard line is covered, and restrooms are available.

TIME:

Registration states at 8:00 A.M. The first shot will start promptly at 9:00 A.M.

REGISTRATION FEE:

A registration fee will be paid to National Rifle Association.

ENTRIES LIMITED:

50 competitors, “Shoot the works” entries will be given preference.

.ENTRY FEE:

$3.00 per Match. "SHOOT THE WORKS" $40.00 Includes Registration fee.

One gun fee is $20.00. (includes NRA registration fee)

Two gun fee is $32.00.

CATEGORIES/CLASSES:

Competitors will be divided into two categories: (1) Civilian, and (2) Service. The Service Category will include regular, reserve, National Guard, and police. With fewer than 5 competitors in a category, these service categories will be combined within the same civilian class. With fewer than 5 competitors in a combined class, the competitors will be moved to the next higher class. Each Match will have a MatchWinner. In each class and category with 5-10 competitors, there will be a First Place in Class award. With 11-19 competitors, there will be a Second Place in Class award. A Match Winner will not be eligible for any class award in the same event. The class award will be passed on to the next ranking score that is eligible. A competitor will not be eligible for more than one award per match. In the event of 2 or more High Master shooters, a winner or first High Master will be paid, NOT BOTH.

AWARDS:

Awards for matches #1-16 will be cash awards based on the NRA point system--$1 per Point. Awards for matches #1 - 16 will be sent via Mail.

Match Winner - 5 pts. First Place in Class- 4 pts. Second Place in Class - 3 pts

The TAYLOR PISTOL CLUB reserves the right to present any other awards that may become available, as they deem appropriate. (These awards will be in lieu of point awards for match 16)

There may be door prizes awarded. Competitors must check with statistical office before they leave to claim any door prizes won.

SCORING OF CHALLENGED SHOTS:

Plug type scoring gauge will be restricted to use by the Referee, Executive Officer, and Assistant Range Officers.

NOTES:

1.All firing will be governed by N.R.A. rules.

2.Challenge Fee will be $2.00 (Fee returned if challenge is sustained)

3.Competitors will be classified according to current N.R.A. Classification System.

4.Competitors will pass scorecards to their right and score the competitor on their left.

5.Entries in the aggregate matches will close when the first match in that Aggregate is fired or as determined by the Match Director or his representative.

6.JURY SYSTEM will be used.

MATCH SCHEDULE: (Each Competitor should furnish own Stapler)

1. .22 Caliber Matches-The standard50 yd and 25 yd course of fire

2. A short break

3. Center Fire Matches- The standard50 yd and 25 yd course of fire

4. LUNCH BREAK AFTER CENTER FIRE IS COMPLETED

Hot dogs and sodas will be available at the range for a nominal fee.

5. .45 Caliber Matches- The standard50 yd and 25 yd course of fire

HARDBALL MATCH

There will be an unofficialHARDBALL match. Please remember to bring your hardball gun and your own ammo. There is no charge to shoot this match. Please indicate at registration if you are planning to shoot this match.

If you plan on being a serious competitor, you might want to consider joining the Michigan Rifle and Pistol Association. The, once a quarter, news-letter will help keep you informed on shooting business throughout the state. The annual fee for membership in the MRPA is $20.00. (I will have applications for the MRPA at our match).
