TAU BETA PI SCHOLARSHIP FOR
MATERIALS & SUPPLIES FOR ACADEMIC DESIGN PROJECTS

The Arkansas Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi provides scholarships to those members who have invested their time in the operations and activities of the chapter. In order to be eligible, a student must have been a member for at least one semester beyond their initiation so that a track record of accomplishment as a member is available for review. The materials and supplies scholarship is intended to provide members with assistance in senior design projects or student design competitions. Multiple Tau Beta Pi members on a single team may apply, but a single application is requested to cover the request for all members. In the case of multiple-member applications, each member should fill out an individual application. All forms should then be combined into a single .pdf file for review by the scholarship committee with a cover letter stating the team members and a brief abstract about the project.

1. Describe the design project you are pursuing.

[KG1]Do we want the applicant to provide a narrative about their contributions to the chapter like they do with the general application? Or is this application based solely on event attendance? Or are we assuming that they will be submitting a general application as well?

AM: Cannot assume they will apply for other scholarships. It is ok if they duplicate information between applications, so I’d say they SHOULD provide a narrative.

[KG2]Cody and I are currently working on budget forms for M&S and Travel applications.
