Message from the President:

Dear Neighbors: Hello, from your Board of Directors. We appreciate all the support and kind comments regarding the work that has been ongoing in the neighborhood! Your committee chairs are tireless advocates and continue to do great work in improving our grounds and facilities. They are all volunteers and deserve our thanks for their efforts! We have several upcoming events worth mentioning. Our Fall Tartan Pines Garage Sale is always a big hit. Take advantage of the heavy traffic and clean out your garage while making a few bucks! We are also tentatively scheduling out next Owner's Association Meeting for October 7th. We encourage you to attend. The Golf Course Clubhouse is beginning a Friday night dinner menu. Please contact the pro shop at 393-4653 for details. I would like to say "Thanks" to the vast majority of neighbors who are up to date on their annual dues. The cost in time and money of researching and placing liens is better spent making improvements to our beautiful neighborhood. Take care and enjoy the rest of your summer! Sincerely, James Haas

“Thank you” from the Seasonal Decorations Committee Chair

Toall who live in Tartan Pines: Thank you, very much for your wonderful, generous donations. You gave over $800.!!! Thank you, thank you. The new flags were delivered and they have been given out to the block captains. Our neighborhood is going to shine, once again. In the future, I will try to arrange a retirement ceremony for the older flags. Maybe we can have it here. We almost have 100% participation and maybe this is the season that we can reach that goal. Come on, you holdouts! I know you want a flag flying in your pine cone! I know, you are busy and then you forget...but, you make a note, right now, to call and get a hole! 347.5926

The following Captains have retired their positions. Sue Nuewien, Phyllis Talmadge, and Nina Carpenter have been Captains since the beginning of our program and we thank them for their cheerful help and wish them goodwill with their other projects. The new Captains are Deborah Carr whoisworking St Andrews. Kinley Sanders is at the 400 block of Tartan Way. The Gilders, Suzy and Harry, are taking Tom Morris Lane. We also have an updated Sub list. Nancy Riegle, Harriet Patterson, Vicki Cardone, Kinley Sanders and Linda Gordon have offered to work their street or others. Thanks, again, to Logan Stewmon, for all his help. He has already met his Community Service hours for Eagle Scout, but he continues to help whenever we need him in our neighborhood. He's one of the good guys.

At this moment, I have 2 welcome home signs, meant for our service people when they return home. If you know of any military persons returning from overseas, please let me know before they come home, so we can place a sign in their yard. We want them to smile. Thank you.

Patti Graves, Seasonal Decorator and Flag Leader
