Tal:Hi, Carmel. It’s Tal.
Carmel:Hi, Tal. Do you want to go to a movie tonight?
Tal:Sure, that’s a good idea.
Carmel:What about Alice in Wonderland?
Tal:Oh no, Carmel. You know I hate fairy tales. They’re boring.
Carmel:But, Tal. I like fairy tales and I like funny movies too. What about a comedy about animals?
Tal:No, I don’t want to see a funny movie. I don’t enjoy comedies. I like movies with villains and scary characters. Here’s a review for a new movie. Listen to the review, Carmel. It’s good.
Run for Your Life is a new movie for people who enjoy a good adventure. The hero is a clever detective and the villain is a dangerous character. The plot is very exciting. I recommend that you watch the film and find out what happens to the scary villain.
This sounds great. I love exciting adventures.
Carmel:Great. I like watching adventures. So we can see Run for Your Life. Tal, let’s meet at the park at 8 0’clock this evening. Then we can walk to town together.
Tal:Okay, Carmel.See you then, bye.
Carmel:Bye, Tal.
Rafi:Hello, everyone! I’m Rafi.
Lital:And I’m Lital.
Rafi:It’s Stay Healthy Day at our school today. Listen and find out what each class is doing. Are you ready?
Lital:I can see my friend Maya in class 5. She is working on the computer. The class is making a poster of a food plate.
Rafi:I can see Lior and Dan. They are in Grade 4. They are learning about food and colors. Dan is giving Lior some milk to drink. Oh no!The milk isn’t white – it’s blue. Lior isn’t drinking it.
Lital:Listen! I can hear Tali and Anna. They are in Grade 5. They are singing the “Fruit Salad” song. They are learning poems about food too.I want to hear them saying the poem “Yellow Butter”. It’s fun!
Rafi:The boys are making fruit smoothies here. Noam is cutting strawberries and apples. Smoothies are my favorite snack.
Lital:I like smoothies too. Let’s come back later to taste them.

Robby:Hi, Olivia. It’s Robby. Did you have a nice day yesterday?
Olivia:Hi, Robby. Yes, I had a great day yesterday. I went to Akko with all my family. It was fun! There are lots of things to do in Akko. The first thing we did was walk around the OldCity on the walls. It was hard because it was a hot day, but the view was amazing!
Robby:Cool!
Olivia:After the walk on the walls, my little brother and sister were tired, so then we sat in a café to have a rest and eat an ice cream. They love ice cream!
Robby:I love ice cream too!
Olivia:After we finished our ice creams, we visited an art museum. I don’t really like art museums, but my mom thought it was great.
Robby:What about lunch? Weren’t you hungry after the art museum?
Olivia:Yes, we were! We went to a restaurant for lunch. My parents ate fish but I don’t like fish so I ate hummus and pitta.
Robby:And then, what did you do after you left the restaurant?
Olivia:Finally, we went on a boat ride around the OldCity and it was fun. After that, we went home.
Sara:Hey, Pazia. I’m going to the beach after school. Do you want to come with me?
Pazia:It’s cool outside. It isn’t a good day for the beach, Sara.
Sara:It’s cool because its early in the morning. It’s usually warm in the afternoon.
Pazia:Let’s check today’s weather. Turn on the TV.
Weatherman:The day is beginning with a cool morning, but the weather will change in the afternoon.
Sara:Great! I’m sure it will be warm.
Pazia:OK. I’ll meet you at the beach after school.
Pazia’s Mom:Pazia, where are you going after school?
Pazia:Oh, hi, Mom. We’re going to the beach.
Pazia’s Mom:No, you’re not. Did you check the weather?
Sara:Yes, we did. The weather is changing this afternoon.
Pazia’s Mom:That’s right. It’s going to be rainy and windy.
Pazia and Sara:Rainy and windy? Oh, no! The beach isn’t a good idea!

Mom:Hi, Tomer.
Tomer:Hi, Mom. Where are you?
Mom:I’m in the Japanese supermarket. You know – the supermarket with all the food from Japan. Do you want sushi for dinner? Your father loves it.
Tomer:Um, no, thank you. I don’t like sushi. I don’t like any fish. I want hamburgers and potatoes for dinner.
Mom:Hamburgers aren’t from Japan. They haven’t got any hamburgers here, but there is chicken with potatoes.
Tomer:No, thanks. Is there any chicken with rice?
Mom:No, sorry, there isn’t any chicken with rice. But there is some chicken with corn.
Tomer:I don’t like corn. Is there any pizza?
Mom:Tomer, pizza isn’t Japanese! But I can buy pizza down the street. What kind of pizza do you want?
Tomer:Pizza with onions and tomatoes is my favorite. And my friend Dan is here. He likes pizza with onions and tomatoes too.
Mom:OK. Pizza with onions and tomatoes for two and mushroom pizza for Dad and me.
Tomer:And Mom, are there any strawberries for dessert?
Mom:Yes, there’s a basket of strawberries at home. There’s some ice cream too.
Tomer:Mmm, strawberries and ice cream! Delicious! Thanks, Mom. See you soon.
