Integrative Activities
5 literacy PATHWISE lesson plans–one per day
5 other PATHWISE lesson plans – one needs to focus on math; one on social studies; one on science. Your last lesson plan will need to include your culminating activity for the unit. All other content areas such as creative movement, music, art, PE, dramatic play, etc. can be integrated in any of the lesson plans. You can also integrate your lessons such as math/science or lang. arts/math – any combination that works with your activities. Make sure you have attached frameworks to objectives in plans.
Learning Centers
Minimum of four learning centers, such as lang. arts (reading, writing, speaking, or listening); literacy, math, science, discovery, blocks, dramatic play, manipulative, social studies, art, music, movement, etc. Each center must include a list of materials that will always be in the center and a list of activities that reinforce skills taught in this unit concepts of your topic.
Materials List
List of any teacher made materials, technology resources, supplies, kits, videos, etc. necessary for the implementation of this unit.
Plan of Assessment
Description of the overall plan for assessing goals in this unit, such as a portfolio, anecdotal records, checklists, teacher-made tests, and any other creative assessments.
Letter to Families
Include a positive, professional letter written to parents/families that describe your plans for the unit and include any ways that families could be involved in their children’s learning.
Bibliography
Include a list of all teacher resources and student resources (children’s books). Need to include author and title – also all websites utilized
