Battery replacement

Please note: If the watch battery stops in either of the CW90 or CW92 watches, and the product is out of guarantee we recommend that you purchase another of these watches, as the cost of replacing with a new battery is comparative to the cost of the watch.

If the watch doesn’t work properly or the display dims, first check that the watch is not in power-saving mode (CW90 and CW92), and if it isn't, the battery power could be getting low.

It is recommended that you take your CW93 or CW93EXP watch to a watch specialist or jeweller to change the battery.

Each of the watches covered in these instructions use a CR2016 lithium battery. A replacement battery is available for the CW93 and CW93EXP watches from RNIB (product code CP07).

For CW93 and CW93EXP follow these steps to install or replace the battery:

Locate the small groove around the edge of the watch case and prise it open using a small flathead screwdriver. Take the back of the watch off and then remove the small screw from the battery bar using a small crosshead screwdriver.

Insert a new battery with the positive (rounded side) facing upwards.

Replace the battery bar and secure it with the screw before re-attaching the back of the watch by pressing it down until it clicks into place.

Please note: RNIB does not guarantee batteries.

Strap fitting

You can have the metallic bracelet strap on the CW93 watch adjusted to suit the size of your wrist. Please take the watch to a watch specialist or jeweller.

Please note: RNIB does not guarantee watch straps.
