Course Description
The economics course introduces students to a broad perspective of economic principles. The course covers economic philosophy, basic economic concepts, microeconomics, macroeconomics, trade and the global economy. Current economic events will be incorporated to reinforce economic concepts.

Expectations
-Students are expected to follow all school policies, and respect the teacher and their fellow students.
-Students must be on time and prepared for class.
-All assignments must be completed individually unless otherwise authorized by the teacher.
-Students are encouraged to seek extra help when necessary.
-Current event presentations will not be accepted after the due date. (Considering the student does not have an excused absence) See class calendar for due dates.
-In general, assignments, quizzes, etc. that are not current event presentations will have flexible deadlines. Recommended due dates are provided on the class calendar to help students with their planning. Once all unit evaluations and assessments are completed students are to take the unit quiz. The date for all assignments to be completed and the dates of the quarter exam and final exam are NOT flexible.
Grading will be based on a point system. Below is a listing of assignments. Numbers refer to total possible points for the assignment.
