Syllabus: Spanish 6th Grade Exploratory: 2014

3rd Quarter

Spanish 6th Grade Exploratory Week 1: January 6-10

This syllabus is tentative and subject to change.

We use a textbook that remains in the classroom. Students are responsible for damage done to textbooks assigned to their seat per "texbook policy" signed by both the parent and student.

1/6:No school for students

1/7:Review class rules, policy, and procedures. Contact information sheet distributed/ Overview of class

Copy “Textbook Policy.” Take this home & return it Thursday, signed by both student & parent.

Copy vocabulary & dialogues p. 2 in Spanish. (We will translate it in class)

Write the days of the week (3 times) in Spanish

Write months of the year (3 times) in Spanish

2/4:Review all structures and vocabulary up to this point with questions.

Review alphabet, numbers & days of the week & months of the year.

¿Cuáles la fecha? Copy this down. Give today and tomorrow’s date.

Follow model: Es el veinte y dos de agosto.

Exception: Es el primero de agosto.

Board exercise:

¿Cuál es la fecha? Give the date in Spanish in a complete sentence.
