1 / Hot rollers are used on dry hair only. They are either heated electrically or by steam. Hot rollers come with clips to secure them in place. / Uneven weak curls. / Use hot rollers only on dry hair.
2 / Comb the hair in the direction to achieve the desired pattern. Starting at the front hairline, part off a section the same length and width of the roller. Choose the type of base according to the desired volume. Comb the hair out from scalp to the ends using the fine teeth of the comb. / Combing the hair in the wrong direction to achieve desired results. / Comb the hair in the direction to achieve the desired pattern.
3 / Hold the hair with tension between the thumb and middle finger of the left hand. Bring the ends of the hair together. Wrap the ends of the hair smoothly around the roller until the hair catches and does not release. / Burning the client or yourself.
