Thailand is the first international manufacturing base for the Swiss Noventa Group

The company develops, designs and manufactures complete product systems

Sri Maha Phote, 26 February 2010. – The Swiss Noventa Group's first international production facility was officially brought into operation at a splendid opening celebration held twelve months after the cutting of the first turf. The party was attended by over 110 invited guests, including Christine Schraner Burgener, Swiss Ambassador to Thailand and local dignitaries from politics and business. The delegation from Noventa was headed by Patrick Besserer (Chief Operating Officer Noventa Group) and Josef J. Scheuer (Managing Director Noventa Thailand).

In her opening address Christine Schraner Burgener described the new factory as a further sign of the excellent cooperation between Switzerland and Thailand and the high standing that Thailand enjoys with Swiss companies and investors. After the various welcoming addresses, the guests took the opportunity of visiting the factory.

Noventa occupies an administration building and a modern factory with all the facilities for injection moulding, product assembly, warehouse storage and logistics on Industrial Park 304 in the province of Prachinburi. State-of-the-art injection moulding machines with a clamping force of 60 to 1,000 tonnes alongside two vertical injection moulding machines with 85 tonnes clamping force are available to satisfy the diverse requirements of local and international customers. Noventa's Thailand factory will employ a workforce of 75 during its start-up phase.

The establishment of a production facility in Thailand is part of the internationalisation strategy of the Swiss Noventa Group. The factory produces components as well as complete devices for its customers, who generally have sales markets centred mainly outside Europe and above all in Asia and Latin America. In the start-up phase, the products will include components for sewing machines, travel adapters, soon to be followed by beverage dispensers for Nestlé. Board member Patrick Besserer: "The establishment of Noventa Thailand is an important cornerstone of our long-term growth strategy. With our two production plants in Europe and Asia we not only gain additional capacity and greater flexibility, we will also be able better to satisfy our globally active customers in the future."
