Aprogramfor Vidya Kiran Students

“150th birthday of Swami Vivekananda” and “Yuva Payana” was observed on 12th January 2012 at Doctor’s Community Hall in Mysore.

To create a mass awareness on immortal thoughts and dialogues of Swami Vivekananda to the public through Jathafrom Samastha office to District Health Officeby proclaiming the slogan of Swamiji. Jathawas inaugurated by Dr. (Flt.Lt.) M.A. Balasubramanya, CEO, SVYM. More than 350 students, parents, including staff had involved in Jatha

Stage programmewas organized in Doctors community hall

YuvaPayana means “Journey of Youth Students”. In this programmewe awarded ourpassed out students a sign of encouragement to their future and instance for present students. Senior students expressed their feelings, experiences and journey in Vidya Kiran. On the occasion our well-wisher was also felicitated.

The stageprogrammewas completely led by students from anchoring to vote of thanks. The programmeanchoring was done by Madhu Shekar and Lekha(II PUC students) and Pushpa (II PUC student)welcomed all the guest to andaudience to the programme.

Swami Sathyeshanandaji, Rama Krishna Vidyashala, Rama Krishna Ashram, Mysore, inaugurated theprogramme.The programmewas presided by Dr. R. Balasubramaniam, Founder of SVYM and the guests Mr. H. Krishnaiah, Deputy Director of Pre University,Mr. Pratap Kumar Simha, Proprietor of hotel Indra Bhavan and Mr. Naresh Bala, Director ofPremaVidya.

An introductory speech was given by Pavithra (II PUC). Swami Sathyeshanandaji expressed Swami Vivekananda’s life style and thoughtsin his speech. He quoted some interesting stories of Swami Vivekananda on the occasion.

On the occasion of Swamiji’s 150th birthday “Varshacharane” a yearlong awareness on thoughts of Swami Vivekananda was inaugurated and launched by Dr. R. Balasubramaniam.

At the same time senior students association “VIVEKA YOUNG MINDS’ was inaugurated. The notion of the association is to involve in communityactivities and wants to guide their juniors.

Local donors and volunteers were felicitated on the occasion. Mr. Pratap Kumar Simha, Proprietor of Hotel Indra Bhavan, he has providedmid-day meal to the needy students of Vidya Kiran. Another volunteer is Mr. Dorei Krishnana retired scientist (specializes in Physics) he is taking English class

We awarded “Pratibha Puraskar” and cash prize of Rs.1000/- (to each students) was given to 07 students who scored distinction (85%) in II PUC exams (02 special prizes) and our biology lecturer Mrs. Nandini B.T. rewarded to four students for their best academic performances in Biology.

Chief guest Mr. H. Krishnaiah,Deputy Director of Pre University, Mysore appreciated to all students for their academic performances in his speech.

Shibu Andia presently doing BSc in Yuvaraja College, he has scored 87% in II PUC and he has been also selected for INSPIRE scholarship, which is being given by Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology (DST) yearly Rs.80,000/- for 05 years (only for basic science). He shared, ‘Vidya Kiran has supported lots to me.... hereI got lots inputs and knowledge in my life.... thecenter provided everything in our studentslife’.

SudheendraD.V. presentlydoing BE in SJCE college, he scored 90% in II PUC and he is beenselected for FFE (FoundationforExcellence) scholarship Rs. 25000/- per year until his completion of course. He shared, ‘I’m very proud to tell as a Vidya Kiran student... after 10th I was selected here...... herewe learnt in different aspects through seminar, library, computer facilities...... inthe center we celebrated special events, it helped to us to develop ourselves.... lastyear we celebrated this programme, after that I took as a challenge, next year I will be rewarded on this stage... ’ finally he told to his juniors don’t waste your time and focuson your goal.

Other 03student’sexpressedemotionally how Vidya Kiran helped them in many aspects such as personality development, counseling, coaching classesand exposure visit. Their parentrevealed their sensational views about Vidya Kiran in an emotional way.

Chief guest Mr. Naresh Bala appreciated to all Vidya Kiran staff and students. In his speech he told ‘Handle every problem courageously and focused mind’

Finally, Dr. R. Balasubramaniam, founder of SVYM addressed the students and their responsibilities. He also said students need to involve in community awareness and activities through their association.

Vote of thanks was done by Rashmita(II PUC). The culturalperformance was given by students.All guests, well-wishers, teachers, lecturers, parents,students and staff of SVYM enjoyed the programmeand had their lunch inthe end of the programme. Lunch was contributed by our lecturers.
