NOTICE is hereby given that the Naperville Park District is accepting sealed bids for the sale of surplus vehicles and equipment. An itemized listing of the equipment and bidding instructions may be obtained at the NapervilleParkDistrictAdministrationBuilding, 320 West Jackson Avenue, Naperville, Illinois60540. For further information, contact Carl Gorra at 630-848-5036.

Sealed Bids will be accepted at the Naperville Park District, 320 West Jackson Avenue, Naperville, Illinoisuntil 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. The Date and Time as stated, is also the time of the public bid opening.The Naperville Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids received, to waive any formalities or technicalities of the Bid or to reject any non-responsive bid in the interest of the Naperville Park District.

A label has been enclosed for your convenience. The BidForms must be filled out, signed, and returned in a sealed envelope, or your bid will not be considered.

ITEM:SURPLUS EQUIPMENT SALE BY PROCESS OF SEALED BID

Sealed Bids will be received until Wednesday, October 28, 2009at 11:30 a.m. at the NapervilleParkDistrictAdministrationBuilding, 320 West Jackson Avenue, Naperville, Illinoison the itemsspecified herein. The Date and Time as stated, is also the time of the public bid opening unless modified by the Naperville Park District. All bidders are welcome to attend this opening.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Viewing of Surplus Vehicles and Equipment

The surplus vehicles and equipment will be available for viewing by appointment only, fromOctober 19, 2009 through October 27, 2009 (week-days only). Please call the following personnel for these specific items:

The surplus vehicles and equipment, item number 1 – through 5, will be available for viewing at either Northbrook or Springbrook Golf Course. Pleasecall Kevin Carlson, Superintendent of Golf Grounds, at 630-848-5062.

The surplus vehicles and equipment, item number 6 – through 33, will be available for viewing at the Naperville Park District Maintenance Shop. Please call Carl Gorra, Parks Central Operations Manager, at 630-848-5036.

Bid Form

All bids must be submitted on the bid form included in this packet. Name, address, phone number and signature of the bidder must be completed in ink. The bid price must be written in the box corresponding with the bid item number and sealed in an envelope, plainly markedSealed Bid for Surplus Equipment, Attention: Carl Gorra. A label is provided for your use on page#5.

Payment

A check or money order made payable to the Naperville Park Districtfor eachbid item must accompany your bid submittal. Checks will be mailed back to the unsuccessful bidders after the equipment is disbursed, no later than Monday,November 9, 2009.

Bid Acceptance

The bids will be accepted at the NapervilleParkDistrictAdministrationBuilding, 320 West Jackson Avenue, Naperville, Illinois, 60540. The deadline for acceptance is 11:30 a.m., Wednesday,October 28, 2009, at which time the bids will be opened.

Determination

Determination of the winning bid will be based on the highest reliable bidder. Winning Bidders will be notified by phone by 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 2009.

Equipment Pick Up

Arrangements for pick up of equipment must be made by Monday, November 2, 2009.

Unclaimed Bids

Any item left will be released to the next highest bidder on Tuesday, November 3, 2009. Any equipment left unclaimed after Monday, November 9, 2009will be disposed of at the discretion of the Naperville Park District without a refund to the bidder.

Release of Equipment

Equipment will be released with a signed receipt (original and copy) by Carl Gorra, Parks Central Operational Manager. The receipt includes a release waiver for the Bidder’s signature. Transportation or loading of the equipment is the responsibility of the Bidder.

Conditions

All property is sold “as-is, where is”. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Purchaser assumes all responsibility for property after the award is made. The Naperville Park District will exercise usual care for property up to the time of removal, but will not be responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever.
