Support Staff Endowment Fund 2013 Exchange Trip (Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario)

The University of Manitoba Support Staff Endowment Fund (SSEF) invites you to participate in the 15th Annual Information Exchange Trip. The SSEF and UofM Administration, LDS, will partially sponsor a fieldtrip to Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario. The cost of this trip to your department/unit will range from $700-$750/persondepending on the number of applicants. The exact cost of the trip will be communicated to the departments after the application deadline. The cost of the trip includes return airfare from Winnipeg to Ottawa, ground transportation from Ottawa to Kingston, shared accommodations (double occupancy), transportation to and from Queen’s University, Friday evening reception, Saturday excursion, and the invaluable professional development.

This trip is an opportunity to meet your UofM colleagues, gain knowledge from your Queen’s counterpart, share experiences, and exchange ideas. Your application will be considered if you:

are interested in meeting and gaining the perspective of someone who is in a similar work position

would like to share/gain knowledge from fellow UofM staff as we continue to work towards excellence

are a UofM support staff (employed a minimum 50% position as defined by Human Resources Dept.)

Priority selection will be given to first time applicants as per the SSEF Terms of Reference; Space is limited so APPLY NOW! Successful applicants will be notified when selections have been finalized. SSEF Committee members are listed on the website and may be contacted for additional information.

A one-page job description is to be included with this application (formavailable online). Only this type-written job description will be accepted. Please include FOAP numbers with signatures. ID charges will appear on your September MOR.

Cancellations from June 28, 2013 until July 31, 2013 are subject to Carlson Wagonlit Travel cancellation fees.Cancellations after July 31, 2013 are subject tothe travel costs (i.e. approx $600). However, as the airfare has been booked with WestJet, any cancellations will result in a transferable credit to your department.

Note: Applicants should expect to incur some personal expenses. Attendance at all group functions, including Friday evening reception and Saturday excursion is expected.
