Support from the British Council:

conference fees pre-paid by British Council

hotel costs on a bed, breakfast, lunch and dinner basis and in a hotel recommendedby conference organisers/British Council(non essential nights to be met by the participant)

transport costs from Tunis airport to Dubaiand the hotel and back

visa and exit stamp costs, if required

securing invitation letters from TESOL Arabia Conference–British CouncilDubai conference committee

Participation on the understanding that:

the conference supports in-country Education Reform programmesin Tunisia in particular learning technologies in the classroom and supporting online learning and teacher development.

If more than 3 people express interest in going, a selection process will be undertaken based on the criteria indicated for the 200 words statement. The six candidates deemed to have satisfied the criteria best,will attend.

the participant takes responsibility for organising their official release from their professional responsibilities and advising the English Project Manager well in advance

any participant will normally onlybe sponsored by the British Council to attend a maximum of 1 conference/seminar in a 12-month period

participants attend all possible workshops at the conference and then disseminate information as an in-service sessioneither in the British Councilas part of our Monday workshops programme or another location to be agreed, within five months of return

the choice of workshops to attend at the conference/seminar are negotiated with English Project Assistant and institutional heads once conference programme is published

all costs relating to expenditure for travel and subsistence required are the responsibility of the participant or their institution, unless otherwise stated in the Joining Instructions

participants are wholly responsible for securing any visa which they may require

Participants obtain Travel Insurance for country of travel and share a copy with the English Project Manager before travel.

Accepted participants will make explicit reference to the British Council as a sponsor in their presentation at the conference and will set up a British Council banner in the roon on the day of their presentation/workshop.
