Technical Specifications

Supply of Selective Catalytic Reduction Agent (19% Aqueous Ammonia)

A.PURPOSE

The City of Denton is providing information that will allow prospective suppliers to prepare submissions to supplybulk quantity of 19% by weight aqueous ammonia (NH3). The product will be received at the Denton Energy Center, which is located at 8161 Jim Christal Road, Denton TX, 76207.

B.SUBMISSIONS

Submission shall be provided using the Exhibit 1, with supporting documentation as required. Additional information clarifying the supplier’s product may be attached to theirsubmission. Pricing shall include all costs to deliver goods as specified in this specification. Any special fees or commissions, and all freight for delivery to the Denton Energy Center must be included in the quoted price.

C.QUALITY CONTROL

The respondent shall be responsible for alltesting required to assure that the product delivered meets all requirements of these specifications. However, the City reserves the right to sample and test all products at time of delivery.Visible signs of contamination at time of delivery will result in the product being rejected.

D.WRITTEN WARRANTY and GUARANTEES

Written guarantees shall include any limitations as to the nature of failure or time limitations. The guarantee shall begin upon receipt of the accepted units, not on the date of manufacture. Guarantees shall indicate whether or not it is made on a full replacement basis or a prorated basis and if prorated then what are the terms. All replacements by the manufacturer/supplier shall be free of charge F.O.B. at the same delivery point called for in the original order.

The respondent must be an approved distributor by the manufacturer of these products, and is authorized to sell the products to the City of Denton. The respondent also guarantees that the City will be represented by the Manufacturer, should an issue arise, and that all manufacturer’s warranties will be in effect for the life of the contract.

E.SPECIAL DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS

Deliveries shall be made between 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Monday through Friday, excluding holidays to Denton Energy Center, 8161 Jim Christal Road, Denton, TX 76207. Theproduct must be delivered by equipment that has the capability to transfer the product to the plants ammonia storage tank.

Supplier must supply documentation for each delivery of product that demonstrates the product being delivered meets the above specifications. DME will not accept any product without proper documentation.

G.ACCEPTABLE MANUFACTURERS

DME will accept submissions from any manufacturer whose product can meet the specifications detailed in this specification.
