The NCC unit of the college organized a cultural feast cum prize distribution function at GDC Bhaderwah in which Major General S.S. Jhakar ADG NCC was the chief guest, Col. Ravindera Singh O.C 2nd Ind. Coy. NCC Bhaderwah was the guest of honor and Principal of the college presided over the function. A large number of the students, NCC cadets and staff of the college participated in the programme. Dr. Javed Iqbal Associate NCC officer of the college presented college NCC report and welcome address. He highlighted the achievements of NCC and social services in terms of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Plantation drives, Trafic awareness, NCC camps and other areas”. In cultural feast the performance of the talented NCC cadets mesmerized the audience with their outstanding performances. In the side line of the cultural feast the college News Letter “Shaheen News & Views” was also released. The news letter highlights the academic and extra academic activities of the college and stands as a mirror to the talents of the college students and especially NCC cadets. The NCC cadets who were awarded for their performance in different areas included cadet Harpal Singh (RD) and YEP, Cadet J. Symen Manhas, Cadet Rauf Iqbal, Cadet Babar Raja, Cadet junaid Iqbal, Cadet Muneeb & Cadet Bona Singh Thakar. On the occasion the ADG NCC alongwith Prof. Basharat Iqbal presented the trophy to the institution and Dr. Javed Iqbal NCC officer of the college.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. Basharat Iqbal (Principal for the day) presented the formal vote of thanks and appreciated the role of NCC cadets in disciplining and inspiring the youngsters to come forward and be a part of the NCC activities in order to learn more than routine academic information.
On the occasion Maj. Gen. S.S. Jhakar appreciated the endeavor of the NCC cadets, ANO Dr. Javed Iqbal and Principal for making it convenient to organize the programme. He also applauded the performances of the talented youth and wished for their bright future. On the occasion Maj. Gen. also congratulated the college authorities for releasing the college news letter. The programme was coordinated jointly by Dr. Javed Iqbal and cadet Syed Maneeb Tariq.
