PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY
1. Request and liaise with local/foreign suppliers for the quotation/proforma invoice. (RFQ)
2. Check the quotation/proforma invoice to be in line with the requisition as provided by the requisitioner or end-user.
3. Tender vetting and documentations.
4. Co-ordination of in/out bound Personal Effects for foreign expatriates.
5. Facilities Management and in/out bound house hold import/export for expatriate staff.
6. Regularly update management with import procedures as well as regulations that can affects the organization.
7. Have regular interaction with others end-users and departments for smooth running of the Supply chain office.
8. Update management on Procurement/Warehouse/import inventory status and report on a weekly or monthly basis.
9. To ensure training session is organized for all Supply chain staff as well as logistics or factory liaison offices as the need arises.
10. Ensure a regular training and brief sessions are organized for end users, suppliers, and marketing and account sections to enlighten them of the activities and process and impact of Supply Chain operations Nigeria.
11. Provide weekly, monthly and annually Supply Chain activities report to the management.
12. To implement and manage materials movement to ensure timely availability of right materials in right quantities to meet agreed manufacturing schedules or target at the right time.
13. To maintain a database for materials supply in conjunction with management plans. Ensure to provide timely feedback to supplier scheduling and procurement to ensure minimal materials impact on the operation.
The role of Logistics/Supply Chain expert is to manage in/out-bound goods and services and the fleet logistics activities in the most cost-effective manner. The Logistics Manager Key objective is to ensure that goods and services are in the right place at the right time and cost in the right quality and right quantity.
