Supplies needed for Mrs. Ferguson’s Science Class
Bring with you EVERYDAY to Science class:
These items are also on the grade level supply list.
- 2 to 3 inch wide three ring notebook binder from master list.
- Five-subject spiral notebook specifically for science from master list.
- Pens from master list. (pencils when requested)
- Your good manners and learning attitude!
- All other science related materials will be provided with very few exceptions.
Consumable supplies we use during the year for labs:
Bring item next to your specific class period only please! The Dollar store brand works just as wellas any!!! You have the first three weeks to bring these items!
1stperiod: pkg/bottle wipes (any kind)
3rd period: one roll of paper towels
4th period: pkg box of cheap markers
5th period: one roll of paper towels
6thperiod: pkg of construction paper
7th period: box of Kleenex OR markers
Other specific supplies may be needed throughout the year according to the needs of the assignment or lab. I will notify you in plenty of time to accommodate your child’s needs. Please understand that I will keep the demands short and inexpensive.

I am normally here by 7:15 every morning and here every afternoon until at least 4:00. I have experienced first hand the demanding schedules of the “working world” and understand that my conference time may not be the most accommodating for you. I will be glad to come early or stay late with prior arrangement to help with any work, or address any concerns your child may have in my class.
Mrs. Ferguson’s Classroom Routine
(for the most part! )
First 4 minutes:
- this is your time to
- get your notebooks and pens ready
- complete your warm-up
- compile any questions you need to ask
- this is my time to
- document attendance
- address any absences/make-up work
- prepare for the lesson/answer questions/make announcements
Next 35 minutes
- This is learning and exploring time for the whole class! Please remember to…..
- talk only with permission (raise your hand ,please)
- stay in your seat (unless you are the runner)
- Stay on task, be productive!
- Be prompt, prepared, positive, and polite always!
Last 5 minutes
- Critical thinking “What did we learn today” earn your exit.
- Finish up
- Wrap up
- Clean up
- …………..have a great day!! “I will see you tomorrow”
