Water content values obtained by Raman technique are reported for comparison. - indicates CO2 values below detection (i.e. 50 ppm).

Table 4Textural characteristics of analysed melt inclusions andwater content measured by Raman technique. Type: Fully enclosed indicates that the melt inclusion is completely surrounded by the host olivine. Hourglass indicates that the inclusion is connected to the outside of the crystal by a thin capillary filled by melt. Embayment indicates that the inclusion is connected to the exterior of the host crystals. Sulphide: daughter crystals are occasionally occurring as sulphide globules.
