(Describe in detail the reason for the request; attach additional pages if necessary.)

Jane Jones is a veteran reporter for the Los Angeles Times. She has worked on the newspaper for fourteen years and has demonstrated her skills as a researcher and for doing positive stories about health outcomes of various county programs. She is interested in learning more about this new health screening process that contributes to the treatment and prevention of health issues that impede a youth’s progress while at camp and when returning in to community. The reporter is seeking to interview youth who have experienced the health screening to learn more about how Los Angeles County is working to address serious health issues that have not been addressed adequately in the past. Anna Groman seeks to interview the appropriate people who can talk about these issues. This is an opportunity for Los Angeles County Probation to demonstrate the complete assessment it makes to provide wrap around services for youth to address their physical, mental and emotional needs. It is also an opportunity to demonstrate the collegial relationship it has with the Department of Public Health which helps administer this health screening tool.
