Colorado Parent Letter from Frontier Ranch

February 2010

Dear Parents,

Your child recently signed up to be a camper at Young Life’s Frontier Ranch, a property that is licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services. The license indicates that the program has met the required standards for operation of a child care facility. If you wish to do so, you may ask to see the license and the last facility inspection.

As a licensed facility, Frontier Ranch makes every effort to provide a safe and healthy environment for adolescents. As part of the licensing provisions, Colorado Law requires that child care providers report all known or suspected cases of child abuse or neglect. If you believe that your child has been abused you should seek immediate assistance from the Chaffee County Department of Social Services. The telephone number is 719-395-0344.

For additional information regarding licensing, or if you have concerns about a child care facility, or you would like to review a licensed facilities file please consult the Colorado Department of Human Services, Department of Child Care at 1575 Sherman Street, First Floor, Denver, Colorado 80203-1714 or at 303-866-5958.

Young Life’s desire is to make every effort to cooperate with the State of Colorado and to ensure that your camper has a great week at Frontier Ranch. Should you have any questions about the Young Life program, please call me at Frontier Ranch at 719-395-4111.

Sincerely Yours,

Steve Lundgren
